Working with male and female survivors of sexual and domestic abuse.
Since 1989 we have provided support to survivors of sexual violence and in more recent years have provided a service for domestic violence.
We are a free and confidential support & counselling service for survivors aged 16 and over who reside in Kirklees with experience of recent and/or historic sexual and/or domestic abuse.
We provide a helpline support service for anyone aged 16 years or older, living in Kirklees. Calls are charged at standard local network rates, mobiles may be more.
We provide an Independent Sexual Violence Advisory (ISVA) service.
Our organisation is a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and we abide by their code of ethics and practice. We are members of the rape crisis and survivors trust, networking and partnering with organisations locally, regionally and nationally.
All our counsellors are qualified to at least Diploma level and have specialist training around sexual and domestic violence
We provide free in-house training for volunteers wishing to work on our helpline
We are currently funded by the Big Lottery fund and the Home Office.
